Jeffrey Perkins

Poet

Jeffrey Perkins received his BA from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana and his MA in American Studies from University of Massachusetts Boston, where he received the Outstanding Graduating Thesis Award. He earned his MFA in poetry from Bennington College in 2009 where he received the Jane Kenyon Memorial Scholarship. His poems have been published by MemoriousThe Massachusetts Review, The Southampton ReviewThe Cortland Review, Tupelo Quarterly, Mid-American Review, Rhino among other journals. His first book of poems, Kingdom, is due out from Spork Press in 2019. He’s the co-author, with Francis Moore Lappe, of You Have the Power: Choosing Courage in a Culture of Fear. He has worked in the field of education for over 20 years, serving institutions such as the School of Visual Arts, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Episcopal Divinity School, and Educators for Social Responsibility.
